I found the corresponding image. Pls. see attachment.

<span>The minimum number of rigid transformations required to show that polygon ABCDE is congruent to polygon FGHIJ is 2 (translation and rotation).

A rotation translation must be used to make the two polygons coincide.

A sequence of transformations of polygon ABCDE such that ABCDE does not coincide with polygon FGHIJ is a translation 2 units down and a 90° counterclockwise rotation about point D </span>

30 POINTS please help me!
Stels [109]
To prove a similarity of a triangle, we use angles or sides.

In this case we use angles to prove

∠ACB = ∠AED (Corresponding ∠s)
∠AED = ∠FDE (Alternate ∠s)

∠ABC = ∠ADE (Corresponding ∠s)
∠ADE = ∠FED (Alternate ∠s)

∠BAC = ∠EFD (sum of ∠s in a triangle)

Now we know the similarity in the triangles.

But it is necessary to write the similar triangle according to how the question ask.

The question asks " ∆ABC is similar to ∆____. " So we find ∠ABC in the prove.

∠ABC corressponds to ∠FED as stated above.
∴ ∆ABC is similar to ∆FED

Similarly, if the question asks " ∆ACB is similar to ∆____. "
We answer as ∆ACB is similar to ∆FDE.

Answer is ∆ABC is similar to ∆FED.

When a negative number multiplies a negative number, it becomes positive

since it is multiplication, just multiply across, you do not need same denominators

5/8 x 16/25 = 80/200

80/200 = 40/100 = 20/50 = 2/5

2/5 is your answer

hope this helps

You deposit $1200 in an account. The annual interest rate is 3%. How long will it take you to earn $108 in simple interest?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

<em>Interest = $3,888</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula:

I = prt or I = p · r · t

what it stands for:

I = amount of interest

P = principal amount ($1,200)

R = interest rate (in years)(3% into decimal which would be .03)

T = amount of time (in years)($108)

so:

I = prt

I = (1,200)(.03)(108)

I = $3,888

Interest = $3,888

A ball is thrown upward from a height of 15ft with an initial upward velocity of 5ft/s. Use the formula h=-16t2(t Is squared)+ v
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

The ball has hit the ground in about 1.137 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ball has hit the ground when the height between the ball and the ground is 0. So we will be setting h equal to 0 and then solving this equation for t.

h=-16t^2+vt+s

v represents the initial velocity

s represents the initial height

v is given as 5ft/s.

s is given as 15ft.

Inputting these in result in:

h=-16t^2+5t+15

Now we are finding for what t's do we have h=0:

0=-16t^2+5t+15

Let's calculate the discriminant to predict how messy are answers are going to be.

Discriminant=b^2-4ac

Discriminant=(5)^2-4(-16)(15)

Discriminant=25+960

Discriminant=985

It isn't a perfect square so we can't factor this.

I'm going to use the quadratic formula:

t=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{\text{Discriminant}}}{2a}

t=\frac{-5 \pm \sqrt{985}}{2(-16)}

t=\frac{-5 \pm \sqrt{985}}{-32}

This implies we have two values for t to look at when h=0:

t=\frac{-5+\sqrt{985}}{-32} or t=\frac{-5-\sqrt{985}}{-32}

Inputting both of these into the calculator:

t=-0.824522 or t=1.137022

So the answer that makes sense here is the later answer.

The ball has hit the ground in about 1.137 seconds.
