Complete question

Assume that DNA Polymerase will read the parental strand of DNA given below and write the DNA sequence in the space below. Use the modeling kit to build the DNA sequence. Show your sequence to your instructor and obtain their initials.

- TATGCTTCCGTA –

Answer:

– ATACGAAGGCAT –

Explanation:

The DNA Polymerase protein will match the nucleosides as follows

Thymine - Adenine

Cytosine - Guanine

So the replication of the original strand will result in

– ATACGAAGGCAT –

In order to build a desired DNA sequence which doesn't have a preexisting DNA sequence, we have to use the solid-phase DNA synthesis. To make the synthesis of the strand needed, the oligonucleotides has to be sequentially attached on the final end of the chains in order to have a sequence.

Adaption of genes to improve survival

Explanation:

 • People include varieties inside their heritable characteristics. A few varieties improve an individual fit to endure and replicate in their condition.
 • In the event that this proceeds over ages, these ideal adjustments (the heritable highlights that guide endurance and multiplication) will turn out to be increasingly more typical in the populace.
 • The populace won't just advance (change in its hereditary cosmetics and acquired characteristics), yet will develop so that it gets adjusted, or more qualified, to its condition.
 • The adjustments or changes in conduct, physiology, and structure of a life form to turn out to be increasingly fit to a domain. As per Charles Darwin's hypothesis of development by normal choice, living beings that have heritable characteristics that empower them to all the more likely adjust to their condition contrasted and different individuals from their species will be bound to endure, replicate, and give a greater amount of their qualities to the people to come.
 • Hence, the correct answer is "Individuals adapt their genes to improve survival".

Why are frameshift mutations likely to cause more problems than a point mutation
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

Point mutations occur when only one nucleotide is altered affecting only one location or point of the DNA strand.

While Frameshift mutations are caused by the deletion or insertion of a number of nucleotides.

These altered nucleotides affect the triple nature of gene expression disturbing the whole reading frame. All the codons after mutation are different translating a completely different protein. That's why frameshift mutations cause more problems than point mutations.

What does Socrates do when he finds a man with a reputation for wisdom? What three classes of people does Socrates question? How
Tom [10]

Answer:

Socrates will always question any man with a reputation for wisdom. He wanted he/she to examine his/her live and become aware of their own ignorance rather than thinking that they know things when actually they know nothing.

The three classes of people Socrates questioned were the politicians, Poets and craftsmen.

He found all three lacking in the real wisdom (Higher Things or Human Excellence) as they only possessed human wisdom in their respective trades.
