Answer:

As per the statement:

Joe's pizzeria sells pizzas topped with olivies.

To stay within budget, number of olives on each pizza is given by the equation:

v = 8s

where,

v is the number of olivies

s is the number of slices.

We have to find how many olvies are on 6 slices of pizza.

⇒s= 6

then;

v = 8 \cdot 6 = 48

Also find how many slices of pizza are on 72 olivies.

⇒v = 72

then;

72 = 8s

Divide both sides by 8 we have;

9 = s

or

s=9

Therefore, 48  olvies are on 6 slices of pizza, and 72 olivies  are on 9 slices of pizza.

A man weighs 180 lb. He jogs a mile in 8 minutes. How many calories has he used up?
s2008m [1.1K]
Calories used = Activity level*Weight*Duration

Activity level at 8 min/mile = 0.22 calories per minute
Weight = 180/2.2 = 81.81 kg
Duration = 8 minutes

Substituting;
Calories used = 0.22*81.81*8 = 144 calories

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

because the total is 300 not 100 so 50 is not reasonable because that is the percentage they planted and since it is more than 100 then it should be a percent of 300 not 100. Maya is wrong about placing 50 bulbs instead they placed 150.
