Answer:

Savoy and Nice

Explanation:

In 1860, France invaded Nice and annexed it after the signing of the Treaty of Turin. The Treaty of Turin granted France the Savoy and Nice (with the agreement of the respective populations of these regions with a vote) in exchange for the total military aid of France against the Austrians, thus supporting Italy in its effort to unification. In this treaty, France gave Italy no choice but to give up the County of Nice, at that time populated by Italian citizens.

Natali [406]

Answer:

The British government laid claim to the Cook Islands. The British did not want the French to take the islands so  New Zealand took control of the southern islands and the northern islands. The government of New Zealand had complete control of the islands until the 1960s. The Cook Islands began to govern themselves but New Zealand and the cook islands created a free association relationship ,

The people from the Cook Islands can live and work in New Zealand. Cook island depend on New Zealand to survive. The Cook Islands do not have many natural resources. They do not have resources to export to make money. Instead most of the things the people need to live have to be imported. Many of those imports come from New Zealand.

Why was Germany hit harder by the Great Depression than any other European nation?
Simora [160]

Answer:

Germany was, indeed, especially hard-hit by the Great Depression. A major factor was the Treaty of Versailles, which was supposed to settle outstanding disputes following the cessation of hostilities in World War I. ... This provision effectively prevented many German industries from selling their goods in foreign markets.
