The distance between (2,5) and (6,1) is:

\sf Distance = \sqrt{\left( 6 - 2 \right)^2 + \left( 1 - 5 \right)^2} \\\\  =\sqrt{ 16 + 16} \\  \\ = \boxed{\bf{4 \sqrt{ 2 } }}

The distance between the fourth vertex and (4,-1) should also be 4√2

The only point that gives us that distance is B. (0,3)

\sf Distance = \sqrt{\left( 4 - 0 \right)^2 + \left( -1 - 3 \right)^2} \\ \\= \sqrt{ 16 + 16} \\  \\ = \boxed{\bf{4 \sqrt{ 2 } }}

Your final answer is B. (0,3)

Can the sides of a triangle have lengths 2, 5, and 9?<br><br><br><br> Help?
s2008m [1.1K]
No, the sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle must be greater than the length of the third side. ( ex; 3,4,8. 3+4=7 ( the two side lengths) and the third side length is 8, which is a bigger number than 7, which means it’s not possible because the third side length is a larger number than the two side lengths. Hope that helped you :)

Subtract
frozen [14]

The subtraction gives -7x^2( x + 1) - 3

<h3>What are algebraic expressions?</h3>

Algebraic expressions are expressions are expressions that are made up of factors, terms, variables and constants.

They also consist of arithmetic operations.

We have to subtract (6x^3 − x^2 + 8x + 5) from (−x^3 − 9x^2 + 2)

It is written as;

(−x^3 − 9x^2 + 2) - (6x^3 − x^2 + 8x + 5)

−x^3 − 9x^2 + 2 - 6x^3 + x^2 - 8x - 5

collect like terms

-x^3 - 6x^3 - 9x^2 + x^2 + 2 - 5

Add like terms

-7x^3 - 7x^2 - 3

To simply further

-7x^2( x + 1) - 3

Thus, the subtraction gives -7x^2( x + 1) - 3

PLZ HELP! please answer both if you can!!
aniked [119]

Answer:

0.324m^2 ; 18 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the triangle :

Base (b) of triangle = 54cm

Height (h) of triangle = 1.2m

Area(A) of a triangle is given by:

0.5 * base * height

Base = 54cm = 54/100 = 0.54 m

Therefore,

A = 0.5 * 0.54m * 1.2m

A = 0.324m^2

2.) Average of the two bases in the trapezoid :

From the trapezium Given :

Base 1 = 15 feets

Base 2 = 7 yards

1 yard = 3 Feets

Therefore, base 2 in Feets = 7 * 3 = 21 Feets

Average of the two bases :

(21 Feets + 15 Feets) / 2

= 36 Feets / 2

= 18 Feets
