The lateral area is expressed as the product of the perimeter of the base and the height. While the surface area is the sum of all areas. The lateral area and the surface area of the box is calculated as follows:

LA = Ph
P = 2l + 2w = (2 x 17) + (2 x 5) = 44 cm
LA = 44 cm x 3.12 cm = 137.28 cm

SA = 2(lw + wh + lh)
SA = 2[(17x5) + (5x3.12) + (17x3.12)]
SA = 307.28 cm

Thus, the lateral area and the surface area are 137 cm and 307 cm, respectively.

beks73 [17]

Answer:

No, the graph fails the vertical line test

Step-by-step explanation:

To determine if the graph is a function, we can use the vertical line test.

Use a vertical line, if the vertical passes through two or more points, the graph is not a function

Looking at the y axis ( which is a vertical line), it passes through two points

This means the graph is not a function

No, the graph fails the vertical line test

Kruka [31]

Answer:

13 nights

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure this out you first need to find out how many more centimeters to get to 36

36cm-23cm= 13 cm

If he needs to knit 13 more centimeters and he can knit 1 centimeter each night it would take him a total of 13 nights in order to knit a total of 36 centimeter scarf
