4 – 3(x – y) = –8x + 2

Apply distributive property to left side.

4 - 3x + 3y = -8x + 2

Add 8x to both sides.

4 + 5x + 3y = 2

Subtract 4 from both sides.

5x + 3y = -2

<h3><u>The correct answer is C.</u></h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

|0.7x+5|>6.7\iff0.7x+5>6.7\ or\ 0.7x+56.7\qquad\text{subtract 5 from both sides}\\0.7x>1.7\qquad\text{divide both sides by 0.7}\\x>\dfrac{1.7}{0.7}\to x>\dfrac{17}{7}\\\\(2)\\0.7x+5

So,

In order to find numbers that are in between 3/8 and 6/7, Lucy must make common denominators first.

LCM of 8 and 7: 56

Multiply each fraction by the appropriate form of 1:
\frac{3}{8} *  \frac{7}{7}\ AND \  \frac{6}{7} *  \frac{8}{8}

\frac{21}{56}\ AND\  \frac{48}{56}

We can immediately see that any fraction with a numerator between 21 and 48 and a denominator of 56 will fit into the criteria Lucy needs.

The correct option is B.

Which number is an integer? 1, 0.5, 3/2
aksik [14]

An integer is any whole number (not fractions) that can be either negative or positive.

1 is the only integer because 0.5 and 3/2 are not whole numbers and are fractions, while 1 is a whole number.
