Genes are a unit of heredity that is transferred from a parent to the offspring and is held determine some characteristics of the offspring. Some genes include: the color of the eyes (whether you have your mother's or father's eyes) the hair color, and skin color.

Inherited traits means you received something from your parents, grandparents or other family members. 

Acquired traits means a characteristic or trait that produces a phenotype that is a result of an environmental influence.Acquired traits are not coded for in the DNA of an individual and therefore cannot passed down to offspring during reproduction.    <span />

<span>Enzymes are Biological Catalysts. They increase the rate of Metabolic reactions. Almost all Biological Reactions involve Enzymes. All enzymes are Globular Proteins with a specific Tertiary Shape. They are usually specific to only one reaction.</span><span>The part of the Enzyme that acts a Catalyst is called the Active Site. The rest of the Enzyme is much larger and is involved in maintaining the specific shape of of the Enzyme.</span><span>When a reaction involving an Enzyme occurs, a Substrate is turned into a Product. The Substrate can be one or more molecules. The Active Site of an Enzyme is Complementary to the Substrate it catalyses.</span>

As the similarity between two or more different organisms structure or any organ does not means that they have same ancestors or have the common origin from which the evolve into two different species. Now analogous structures are very much similar in there structure physically, but two different organisms may use them for the same function, which is astonishing to see or observe in way different species.

As the structure of the flipper of a Dolphin has similarity with the phalanges of a human being and with the wings of the bat. As all of them functions for the basic need of movement or locomotion from one point to another. While, all the three species are very much different in there features and are not the same obviously.
