If h(x) = -2x - 10 you should put the -4, -2. -18, -3 or/and -16 in the place of the x in the formula.
So for example:

h(-4) = -2 * (-4) - 10 = 8 - 10 = -2

Or at least, that's what I think the answer should be.

Good luck!

Answer:

The correct option is (a) i.e.

h(-4) = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

The mathematical expression is given as :

h(x)=-2x-10......(1)

Where

h(x) is dependent on x

We need to find the value of h(x) at x = -4 . Putting the value of x in equation (1) we get :

h(-4)=-2(-4)-10

h(-4)=8-10

h(-4) = -2

The value of h(-4) is -2. So, the correct option is (a). Hence, this is the required solution.

Solve for k: -2k = k - 7 - 8 and explain in number form
Kamila [148]

Answer:

k = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

-2k = k - 7 - 8

Combine like terms

-2k = k - 15

add 15 to both sides

-2k + 15 = k

Add 2k to both sides

15 = 3k

Divide both sides by 3

k=5

Hope this helps!

When Jupiter and Earth are closest to each other, they are about 365 million miles apart. Express this distance in scientific no
SCORPION-xisa [38]

3.65 e8

Step-by-step explanation:

The scientific notation e mean ‘10 raised to a particular power’. Therefore e8 is equivalent to 10 ^ 8.

We count the number of tens to the decimal point. In this case;

365000000

3.65000000

The decimal is 8 place values from the right (since this is a whole number)
