Columbus's discovery of the Americas created the Triangular Trade (trade between the New World, Old World, and Africa). There are various products that are traded and arguably this naval travel was what led to advanced trade, Industrial Revolution, and of course it led to the discovery of the "Americas" or "colonies" starting with Jamestown, Virginia when the Virginia Company set course. The kinds of items that were traded in the Triangular Trade are stuff that can be found on the internet if you want the exact details, but what I provided was a general overview summary of what Columbus's voyage did based on what I remember in AP World History. Hope this helps. Let me know of any flaws I had in my answer. If you like this answer, a Brainiest award would be appreciated.
