2. for safety purposes, making sure they aren't doing anything that could get them in trouble or endanger them, to keep track of what they do when you're not involved, and to stay involved in their lives in case anything bad is happening.

3. what problems they may go through, what they might be doing outside of their home life, and if they're staying safe and out of trouble.
