The defense forces resisted the Japanese forces on Baatan for a full three months, until the final fall of Baatan on April 9, 1942. In order to avenge the enemy, the Japanese did an infamous act - forcing defeated US and Philippine troops to march 130 km from Baatan to Japan's most famous prisoner of war, O'Donnell.

2. synthetic fabrics

During the war it was impossible to provide as much as rations as necessary. That is why the countries had to provide more fabrics, and the only way to do that was to use synthetic fabrics. The production that started during the war later exploded.

3. to destroy Japan’s power to make war

United States were winning the war, but it already lasted for four years. They weren't moving so fast, there were many casualties, a lot of resources were spent.
