Answer

The rate of CO2 usage for photosynthesis where O2 is produced, outpaces the rate of O2 use in respiration and photorespiration.

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is a chemical pathway that’s integral to producing energy in plants and other primary producers. Energy in the form of molecules of glucose is produced from light, water and carbon dioxide while oxygen is released. This occurs in several complex steps, photosynthesis is a rate limited reaction, depends on several factors including carbon dioxide concentration, ambient temperature and light intensity; the energy is retrieved from photons, I.e.particles of light, and water is used as a reducing agent.

Reactions like 1.) Respiration and 2.)photorespiration both utilize some oxygen for;

  • the production of ATP via the oxidization of pyruvate;
  • and the oxygenation of the molecule Ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP), an organic molecule also used in photosynthesis, to form 3-PGA + phosphoglycolic acid,

However, these reactions are not using oxygen in signofiant enough amounts for equilibrium with CO2 use.

∴ the rate of CO2 usage for photosynthesis where O2 is produced, outpaces the rate of O2 use in respiration and photorespiration.

Give the pattern of atoms for the functional groups for organic acids and amines.
yarga [219]
In organic molecules, the atoms are linked by covalent bonds. Organic molecules are generally large and may be complex, involving many such bonds. Inorganic compounds have considerably simpler structure in terms of number, but not necessarily type, of bonds. In organic molecules, to a first approximation, we may say that one bond does not affect another. Thus an atom such as a chlorine atom, -Cl, or a group of atoms such as the alcohol group, -OH, on one end of a molecule will behave chemically in the same way almost without regard to the molecule to which it is covalently attached. The idea of different independent or semi-independent atoms or groups of atoms on the same molecule is central to our modern understanding of organic chemistry. It is called the concept of functional groups. The nomenclature of organic compounds, like most of the rest of our understanding of reactions of organic compounds, is based upon the concept of functional groups.

A high-salt diet have would _________ the release of anti-diuretic hormone (adh) from mio's posterior pituitary gland and ______
Paul [167]

Out of the following choices,

A. decrease, increase. B. increase, increase. C. increase, decrease. D. decrease, decrease

The answer is B. Antidiuretic hormone is the major hormone that regulates the amount of water in the body which is based on electrolyte balance. The high-salt diet will increase the electrolyte concentration in the blood hence ADH hormone will increase to enable increased re-absorption of water in the kidneys. This is achieved by increasing aquaporin 2 channels in the distal tubule and collecting tubes of the nephrons that are responsible for water reabsorption. ADH acts in conjunction with aldosterone that regulates the concentration of sodium ions in the blood.

Hypersecretion of hgh that causes overgrowth of the hands and feet, abnormal thickening of the bones of the face, and excessive
Nikolay [14]
The correct answer is Acromegaly.

Hypersecretion of hGH which causes overgrowth of the feet and hands, abnormal thickening of bones of the face, excessive overgrowth of soft tissue, which occurs after puberty is known as acromegaly.
The symptoms of acromegaly are enlargement of feet and hands, forehead, nose, and jaw.
This disease has some complications. For example, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, type two diabetes. Acromegaly results because of the pituitary gland which produces too much growth hormone.
