-3(4r - 8) = -36

Mutiply the bracket by -3

(-3)(4r)(-3)(-8)= -12r+24

-12r+24= -36

move +24 to the other side

sign changes from +24 to -24

-12r+24-24= -36-24

-12r= -60

divide by -12

-12r/-12= -60/-12

Answer:

-3(4r-8)=-36

-3 ×4r = -12r

(Negative and positive equals negative)

-3×-8= 24

(Both negatives equal positive)

-12r+24=-36

(-24 to like terms. Meaning, just subtract 24 from the -36 and the 24

Leave change change uwo)

-36-(-24) is now -36 + 24= -12

-12/-12r= -12/-12

r=1

This actually helped me with a problem i had to do "x can be any number" so thenk lol

Find a constant c for which p(z ≥ c.= 0.1587. round the answer to two decimal places.
Vikki [24]
What you see in the z score table is P(z< a constant), for P( z≥ a number), subtract the probability from 1:
1-0.1587=0.8413
on the z score table, you will see that p(z<1.00)=0.8413
so c=1.00

Find the general indefinite integral. (use c for the constant of integration.) (7θ − 6 csc(θ) cot(θ)) dθ
KiRa [710]
\int \! 70 - 6 \csc(\theta) \cot(\theta) \ \mathrm{d}\theta = \int \! 70 - 6 \cdot \frac{1}{\sin(\theta)} \cdot \frac{\cos(\theta)}{\sin(\theta)} \ \mathrm{d}\theta = \int \! 70 \ \mathrm{d}\theta - \int \! \frac{6 \cos(\theta)}{\sin^2(\theta)} \ \mathrm{d}\theta = 70 \theta + \frac{6}{\sin(\theta)} + C, \ C \in \mathbb{R}.

Simplify. (-7y^2+4y+9)+(6y^2-5y+9)-(2y^2-9y-2)
Natali5045456 [20]

Combine like terms

-7y² + 6y² - 2y² = -3y²

4y + (-5y) - (-9y) = 4y - 5y + 9y = 8y

9 + 9 - (-2) = 9 + 9 + 2 = 20

-3y² + 8y + 20 is your answer

hope this helps
