Why are DRIs a preferred value for nutritional intake

Because with a DRI we know the average or ballpark estimate on hwo much of a certain nutrient we should take in/consume per day. This goes for all the macronutrients as well as the micronutrients. Knowing this information, we can guarantee a healthy and balanced diet.
