How is the function of the muscles and bones related

The skeleton protects and brings form to a body. The muscles protect the skeleton e.g. the back muscles tightening to support and protect the lumbar and thoracic spine, the muscles also give movement to the skeleton e.g. the the pulling and tightening of muscles and tendons allow the skeleton to move. They complement each other perfectly.
