A legislative branch was proposed by the Virginia Plan and this was a Bicameral legislature consisting of two chambers. Three branches were involved in this plan namely Legislative, Executive and Judicial.
Explanation:
- This plan is mainly notable for its role in setting an overall agenda and also for setting the idea of Population-weighted representation.
- Along with the New Jersey plan, this plan existed to support small state's interests.
- The scope of resolutions succeeded in broadening the debate for encompassing fundamental values to the structure and powers of the national government.
- The main principles stated that "Each of the states would be represented to the number of free inhabitants. This resulted in the states with a large population having more representatives than the smaller states".
- The legislative branch would have the power to veto state laws if the states were deemed incompetent was a proposal put by the Virginia Plan.
Abraham Lincoln's Gettysbury Address is perhaps the most iconic and famous speeches in the history of the United States.
It the address took place just 4 and a half months after the end of the Civil War, at the time when the United States was struggling to find a national way forward.
The aim of the Address was to provide hope to the American people and give them a vision of a brighter future. It was addressed both at the Southerners and the people in the North.
A whole generation had seen war, death and misery and the future for many, was not so great.
The overall message of the address was to tell every American, that their right to life, liberty and freedom will be respected and that their country will keep on prospering.
The address wanted people to look at the end of the Civil War as an opportunity for a New America.

Answer:
Democracy was not in unity, but the national independence of each state as a separate nation unto itself, which vested in the supreme power of the voters in each state having final Authority over it, while government was simply the hired help.
Lincoln had already threatened in 1856, that he would oppose secession with military force; and that's why the GOP lobbyists chose him to be president in 1860.
And why the South seceded in response.
The only way to save democracy, was to assert the historical fact that each state was a democratic Nation, and that any attempt by the federal government to invade any state, would be an act of Rogue imperialism.
However ever since Jackson's original nullification Proclamation, nobody officially countered this claim, and therefore it was able to corrupt official history for 28 years until Lincoln came to power.
Hope this helped! :)
