The group of lines in a poem is a stanza  for example this is from a random poem:

no <span>animals     </span>in the Bible

only <span>beasts     </span>as  of the field

not us:     it says    breathed

<span>into     in our image     of the dust</span>

<span>these lines are called a stanza</span>
