In the late 1400s, how did the Venetians contribute to the printing process?

The contemporary commentator who wrote that, by the early sixteenth century, Venice was a city “so full of books that it was hardly possible to walk down a street without armfuls thrust upon you, like cats in a bag, for two or three coppers each” unwittingly provided an evocative opening to any description of the culture of Venetian print.i As well as concern for the increasing vulgarization of intellectual life, his words underline the sheer quantity of printed material available for purchase in one of the most important centers for the production and sale of books in the Renaissance. As the city made the transfer from a manuscript culture enjoyed by the very few, to a culture of printing accessible to many, the voices of outspoken critics like Filippo de Strata gradually quieted.ii

Did the north have less manpower than the south
lys-0071 [83]

Answer: The North had way more manpower.

Explanation: The north was always populated to begin with since the living standards were a lot higher than in the south. And when the northern states "forbided" slavery a mass migration of African Americans from southern states moved to the northern states. They migrated to find a better life up in the north(before the civil war). When president lincoln gave the to go sign that African Americans were able to enlist in the army during the American civil war it gave the North a manpower increase, one that the south didn't have since the south did not allow African Americans to be enlisted in thir arms.

Fifty years after the murder of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968, racism remains integral to the criminal justice system in the United States despite decades of civil rights activism. Police shootings of unarmed black men still make news – most recently the killing of Stephon Clark, shot by Sacramento police while holding a cellphone – and only rarely are the officers who pull the trigger punished.
