The Civil Rights Act of 1875 was an act signed on March 1st of 1874 in the U.S. this act was especially relevant because it was the first act that guaranteed African Americans had equal treatment in transportation and in general public places, this included African Americans right to receive accommodations and services in buses, trains, among others and enjoy public places such as restaurants in the same way white population did, which implies the law began protecting African American basic rights of citizenship. Therefore, it was the Civil Rights Act of 1875 the one that gave black citizens the right to ride trains and use other public facilities.
