When Effie finds an irritating something in her eye, she goes to her father for help on getting it out. He fishes it out & instead of a usual response, he remarks that it's a new species. He rewards her for this and him and his doctor friend spend a long time marveling over it. Soon after, Effie's brother found one even bigger than the one she had found. Soon, the entire country was filled with these new creatures, which appeared to be dragons of all different sizes.
