Marissa and Sean are in the process of adopting a baby. One of the documents the adoption agency provides is a full medical hist

ory of the birth mother. Why would the birth father's medical history also be important?
The father has greater impact on the health of the baby than the mother.

The father's history will be important only when the child also becomes a parent.

The father's medical problems will always be expressed in the child.

The father's history will suggest potential medical problems in the baby.

The initial 2 aren't right. What's more, the third one is just valid if the therapeutic issue is y-connected so it's not ALWAYS. So that abandons you the last one, which bodes well on the grounds that the tyke gets qualities from the father too which impact it's wellbeing.

What are the types of gametes
Vika [28.1K]

In certain organisms, like humans, there are two morphologically distinct types of gametes: (1) the male gamete (i.e. sperm cell) and (2) the female gamete (i.e. ovum). The male gamete is smaller in size and motile whereas the female gamete is several times bigger and non-motile. The haploid condition of the two gametes is essential so that at fertilization during sexual reproduction the integrity of the chromosomal number is maintained throughout generations.

Hope this helps.
