Consider a rational (i.e. "fractional") exponent...what does the denominator of the fractional exponent represent in radical for

m? What does the numerator of the fractional exponent represent?
Do the normal rules of exponents (i.e. the product, quotient, and power rules) apply to fractional exponents? What are some of the unique challenges presented in using these rules with fractional exponents? Give an example to make your point.

Graph the line y=−3x+b if it is known that the graph goes through point: B(5,2)
Nuetrik [128]

Try this solution:

1. In order to built the line required in the condition it need to determine its equation.

Using the coordinates of point B (5;2), if to substitute them into the given equation: 2=-3*5+b, ⇒ b=17. It means, that the equation of the line required in the condition is y= -3x+17.

2. The graph is in the attachment; point (0;17) is the intersection point of Y-axis and the line.

What is the slope? Loooook atttt the chartttt ✨
gavmur [86]

Answer:

m = 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope Formula: m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Step 1: Find 2 coordinates

(0, 80)

(-50, 50)

Step 2: Find slope m

m = (50 - 80)/(-50 - 0)

m = -30/-50

m = 3/5
