Answer:

Sam : 3/8

Leslie : 3/8

Maggie : 2/8

Rose : 0/8 that is 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Jo divides a candy bar into eight equal pieces for her children to share

Total of 8 pieces

She gives three pieces to Sam

Out of 8 pieces he gave 3 pieces to Sam, So fraction is \frac{3}{8}

She gives three pieces to Leslie,

Out of 8 pieces he gave 3 pieces to Leslie, So fraction is \frac{3}{8}

She gives two pieces to Maggie

Out of 8 pieces he gave 2 pieces to Maggie, So fraction is \frac{2}{8}

Rose, the two-month-old baby, doesn’t get any.

So fraction is \frac{0}{8}

Well, if you Jo has 8 pieces and gives 3 to Sam and 3 to Leslie, Sam gets 3/8 of the pieces and Leslie gets 3/8 as well. Maggie got 2 pieces, so she got 2/8 and Rose got 0 or 0/8 pieces.

You're given a table of x values and an equation. To solve, plug in the values for x.

First box: y=2(-3)-1=-7
Second box: y=2(-2)-1=-5.

See if you can solve the third one.

On a mountain, the temperature decreases by 18°F every 5000 feet. What integer represents the change in temperature at 20,000 ft
attashe74 [19]
<span>To find this answer, use multiples. For every 5000 feet ascended, deduct 18 degrees. For 20,000 feet, which is (4 * 5000), use (4 * -18). In this case, the answer is -72 degrees F, so the integer described would be -72.</span>
