  1. Great Plains of North America

The Great Plains of the United States is a high and wide plateau that extends east of the Rocky Mountains, in the American continent.

Since the British colonization of the United States, several colonists wanted to settle there. However, the arid and dry climate of the region dificult it.

On the other hand, in this area periodically (about every 25 years), there are drought events and strong winds and large amounts of dust can cause dust storms that are quite harmful to crops and establishments.

what foreign policy goal does the united states advance by participating in the north Atlantic treaty
Umnica [9.8K]
NATO has two main benefits for the United States and other nations involved:

The first is from a political standpoint. All members of NATO share democratic values, and they are all encouraged to prevent conflict and cooperate with one another on security and defense problems.

The second is from a military standpoint. NATO works towards maintaining peaceful relationships with outside nations. However, if a conflict arises, NATO has an agreement called "crisis-management." This means that the members of the North Atlantic Treaty Agreement work together to provide whatever military and security measures are needed to protect the NATO territory.

This is beneficial to the United States because being a member of NATO guarantees some political and military assistance if conflict ever comes to American ground.

Which of these was NOT a condition of the Missouri Compromise?
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:The provisions of the Missouri Compromise stated in part that Missouri would be admitted to the Union as a slave state.

Explanation:

The Missouri Compromise was a decision made in the United States in 1819 to admit the states of Missouri and Maine as members of the Union.

In 1819, the admission of the state of Missouri to the United States was on the agenda of the Senate. As there were equal numbers of representatives of slave and free states in the Senate, it was decided to reach a compromise in order to maintain the balance: two states were going to be adopted at the same time, one free and the other slave. In addition to slave Missouri, Maine, which did not allow slavery, became a member of the United States. The demarcation line for slavery was also determined, as slavery would be allowed only south of the 36º 30' north latitude (plus the state of Missouri, which was north of it).
