Question 1

Lets <em>convert these to decimals</em> first:

2 1/2 = 2.5

1/4 = 0.25

Now <em>divide</em> 2.5 by 0.25 to find how many scoops Zack uses.

If you divide correctly, you get <em>10</em>.

Now <em>multiply</em> this by two becuase Zack has TWO bird feeders.

So Zach uses <em>20 scoops</em> to fill both bird feeders.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question 2

Let x be the variable for the scoops Zack needs for both bird feeders

x = 2 \frac{1}{2} / \frac{1}{4} x 2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question 3

x = 2 \frac{1}{2} / \frac{1}{4} x 2

2 \frac{1}{2} divided by \frac{1}{4}  =  10

x = 10 x2

10 multiplied by 2 is 20

So...

x = 20

Assume Jones Manufacturing begins January with 10 units of inventory that cost $10 each. During January, the following purchases
Ratling [72]

Answer:

10.44

Step-by-step explanation:

The weighted average cost per unit method seeks to get the cost of goods sold as an average of all cost of goods in the inventory as at the time of sales.

Part of its objective is to strike a balance between the (FIFO and LIFO) inventory valuation methods.

Beginning inventory ( Jan) = 10 units

Cost of beginning inventory per unit = $10

Total cost of beginning inventory = Cost * Number of units

In this case (10*$10) = $100

Additional purchase (Jan 5) = 8 units

Cost of additional purchase per unit = $11

Total cost of additional purchase = 8 * $11 = $88

Weighted average cost per unit at the time 11 units are sold on January 7 = Total cost of units at that time / number of units available at that time.

= ($100+ $88) / (10+8)

= 188/18

=10.44 (approximated to 2 decimal places)

I hope this helps make the concept clear.

Tony throws the dice once.He also throws a coin to get heads or tails.Two of the outcomes are 1H 2H
aleksley [76]

Answer:

  • <u>1H, 1T, 2H, 2T, 3H, 3T, 4H, 4T, 5H, 5T, 6H, and 6T.</u>

Explanation:

The quetion is:

  • <em>list all the outcomes in the same format </em>
<h2 /><h2>Solution</h2>

Understand the format:

  • first character is the number that appears on the top face of the dice: it can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.

  • second charater is one of two letters that represent the flip of the coin: H for heads or T for tails.

Then, the list of the combinations that represent all the possible outcomes is:

  • 1H, 1T, 2H, 2T, 3H, 3T, 4H, 4T, 5H, 5T, 6H, and 6T.

They are 12 possible outcomes: 6 × 2 = 12: 6 from the 6 possible outmoes of the dice, and 2 for the two possible outcomes of the coin.
