The offspring will be genetically identical to the parent because vegetative reproduction is a form of asexual reproduction. Therefore, there is only one parent and the offspring is identical to the parent.
Well, what happened was that you had populations of dog-wolves that became isolated from the greater wolf population and in doing so, they began to breed more closely—to inbreed as it were. And when you inbreed, you get genetic peculiarities that arise, and those peculiarities then begin to become part of the population…. In other words, a mutation will appear in a small population.
Some scientists believe it was due to a sudden meteor impacts and others believe it was a gradual build up of a couple things like volcanic activity, climate change and the meteor impact was the final blow for total destruction.
The bird population would most likely decrease as they have lost their main source of food but could also maybe stay the same as they can find a new food source
