<u>Subprime lending rates are “higher” than prime lending rates and are commonly offered to people with “poor” credit score. </u>

Further Explanation:

Subprime lending rate:

The subprime lending rate is the rate of interest charged by the banks. It is always higher than the prime lending rates. There is no need for a mortgage in the case of subprime lending. That’s why the interest charged on this is higher than the prime lending. Subprime lending is given to those customers which having poor credit scores.

Prime lending rate:

The prime lending rate is the rate of interest charged by the banks to provide prime lending. Prime lending is given to those customers who have good credit scores. This type of lending is given to trustworthy customers. In this lending, there is a necessity of mortgage in case of lending without the mortgage; the loan will not be issued to the customers.

As in subprime, lending rates are higher than the prime lending rates because the risk involved in the subprime lending is more than the prime lending. If the customer fails to pay the amount of loan in subprime lending, the lender does not have any mortgage value to get back their loan amount. This lending is offered to those people who have a poor credit score. A credit score basically means a score that shows how much probability the customers will pay back the loan amount.

tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

=> fraction of the portfolio that should be allocated to T-bills = 0.4482 = 44.82%.

=> fraction to equity = 0.5518 = 55.18%.

Explanation:

So, in this question or problem we are given the following parameters or data or information which are; that the utility function is U = E(r) – 0.5 × Aσ2 and the risk-aversion coefficient is A = 4.4.

The fraction of the portfolio that should be allocated to T-bills and its equivalent fraction to equity can be calculated by using the formula below;

The first step is to determine or Calculate the value of fraction to equity.

Hence, the fraction to equity = risk premium/(market standard deviation)^2 - risk aversion.

= 8.10% ÷ [(20.48%)^2 × 3.5 = 0.5518.

Therefore, the value for fraction of the portfolio that should be allocated to T-bills = 1 - fraction to equity = 1 - 0.5518 =0.4482 .

marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "B": False.

Explanation:

The controlling function of management is characterized by having managers supervise employees on the progress of their tasks to find out if they are meeting the expectations the company has from them and to verify if they are reaching the objectives the firm hired them for. It has nothing to do with the fact of seeking and recruiting the best prospective employees for the job positions necessary in the organization.
