The correct answer is “The Church was granted the power to elect and invest bishops, but the emperor could invest them with fiefs”

The Concordat of Worms was a compromise that took place in 1122 between the Pope Calixtus II and the Roman Emperor Henry V. It was important because it settled a problem between the Empire and the Church over control of the church’s offices.

The Concordat ended the conflict and settled that Bishops and abbots were chosen by the clergy but the Emperor was allowed to decide contested elections.

What was one weakness of the Articles of Confederation in establishing the first government of the United States?
shepuryov [24]
The answer is A. because it was already tiresome to get 9 nine states out of 13 states to vote on an amendment.

Choice B. is incorrect because the British only required their war costs at the end of the Constitution. Choice C. is incorrect because the Virginia plan (large states) and the New Jersey plan (small states) took place after the Constitution. Choice D. was a major benefit, so that wasn't a weakness.
