The y intercept of the line 5y + 2x -3=0
Alecsey [184]

5y+2x-3=0

5y=-2x+3

y=-2/5 x+3

Sope intercept of the line is y=-2/5 x+ 3/5.

The intercept is 3/5.

Check: x=0 when y=3/5

5y+2x-3=0

5(3/5)+2x-3

3+2x-3=0

2x=0

x=0

Correct

The answer is 3/5.

Solving proportion 10\8=n\10
Zanzabum
\frac { 10 }{ 8 } =\frac { n }{ 10 } \\ \\ 10\cdot \frac { 10 }{ 8 } =\frac { n }{ 10 } \cdot 10\\ \\ \frac { 100 }{ 8 } =n

\\ \\ n=\frac { 4\cdot 25 }{ 4\cdot 2 } \\ \\ \therefore \quad n=\frac { 25 }{ 2 }

You can write a system of equations, I'm pretty sure.
the first equation would be
10a+3f+.5c=100
and
a+f+c=100

For the first equation, its the price of each ticket that adds up to 100 tickets
For the second equation, its the amount of people that adds up to 100 people.

I'm pretty sure this is the route to go but I haven't solved it for myself (yet) I'll probably comment the answer if you need me to
