The Gupta age was glorious period in Indian history as all the branches of culture were enriched. This period was blessed with accomplished astronomers and mathematicians, Aryabhatta was the most famous one, he was born in 476 AD in Patliputra. His famous work is Arya- Bhattyam. His works included arithmetic, algebra and geometry. He established the face value of Zero, and invented the decimal system. In his book Surya Siddhartha, he revealed the real causes of solar and lunar eclipse. Earlier it was believed that eclipses occurred when the demon Rahu swallowed up the sun and moon after periodic intervals. He also explained the variation in planetary motions and proclaimed that the earth revolves round its axis.

Auschwitz was the most deadly of the camps, but Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka were very deadly as well. The Schutzstaffel, also known as SS, were German guards who primarily ran these camps, and were followers of Adolf Hitler and members of the Nazi Party. The SS did terrible actions and many Jews were forced into gas chambers to die.
