What is the difference between monologue and dialogue

A dialogue is a conversation between people and a monologue is when a person, usually a character in a play, etc is talking to themselves ie. they are musing, telling the audience their feelings and thoughts, etc :)

Monologue is a long speech by one actor in a play or movie, or as part of a theatrical or broadcast program. Or a long and typically tedious speech by one person during a conversation.
<span>Dialogue is </span>conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play, or movie. Or take part in a conversation or discussion to resolve a problem.<span>
