In the matter of technological innovations, I think it is possible to argue that without the compass and the square-rigger deep sea, Darwin would not be able to travel, thus preventing us from discovering we are, in fact, a product of evolution. Moreover, the airplane is right now the technology that permits anthropologists to travel a great distance in order to uncover the last mysteries around our evolution.

The first is gene sequencing. This allows the sequence of nucleotides on DNA of different organisms to be identified. The sequence is then compared the bigger the difference in this sequence, the stranger the organisms are with regards to the evolutionary relationship.

The second is carbon dating. This enables anthropologists to determine the age of fossils by calculating the time taken, in half-lives, by particular elements to decay, such as carbon-14

netineya [11]

Answer:

Gas:

 • assumes the shape and volume of its container ; particles can move past one another
 • compressible ; lots of free space between particles
 • flows easily ; particles can move past one another

Liquid:

 • assumes the shape of the part of the container which it occupies ; particles can move/slide past one another
 • not easily compressible ; little free space between particles
 • flows easily ; particles can move/slide past one another

Solid:

 • retains a fixed volume and shape; rigid - particles locked into place
 • not easily compressible ; little free space between particles
 • does not flow easily ; rigid - particles cannot move/slide past one another

Particles in a:

1. gas are well separated with no regular arrangement.

2. liquid are close together with no regular arrangement.

3. solid are tightly packed, usually in a regular pattern.

Particles in a:

1. gas vibrate and move freely at high speeds.

2.liquid vibrate, move about, and slide past each other.
