Hello!

First you have to find the median

6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 6.8, 6.8, 7.5

The median is 6.6

Next you find quartile 1

quartile 1 is the median of the numbers less than 6.6

6.3, 6.4, 6.5

The median is 6.4

Next you find quartile 3

quartile 3 is the median of the numbers higher than the median

6.8, 6.8, 7.5
gnbhv
The median is 6.8

Then you find the range of quartile 3 and quartile 1

You subtract quartile 1 from quartile 3

6.8 - 6.4 =0.4

The interquartile range is 0.4

Hope this helps!

General Formulas and Concepts:

Algebra I

Terms/Coefficients

  • Factoring/Expanding

Quadratic Equations

  • Solving quadratic equations

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Identify.

y = x² + 8x

Step 2: Find Roots

  1. [Quadratic] Factor: y = x(x + 8)
  2. [Quadratic] Set up [Solve]: 0 = x(x + 8)
  3. [Quadratic] Define: x = 0, -8

∴ the roots of the quadratic equation y = x² + 8x is equal to 0 and -8.

The distance from the ladder to the end of the side is 5 ft. The distance from the top of the ladder to the bottom is 13 ft long
torisob [31]

Answer:

12 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that you have a right triangle here, with hypotenuse 13 ft, and base 5 ft. Using the Pythagorean Theorem, we find the height of the upper tip of the ladder as follows:

(13 ft)^2 = y^2 + (5 ft)^2. Then y^2 = 144 ft^2, and y =height= 12 ft
