Sam bought a new fertilizer spreader for his yard. It has a dial on the handle that adjusts the flow of fertilizer. The dial set

ting is from 0 to 10. He has learned that if he sets the dial to 10, then one bag of fertilizer will cover only 600 square feet of his yard. The setting varies inversely with the area it will cover. How many square feet should one bag cover if the dial is set at 6?

You have to see how much a bag of feritlier goes when the dial is at one. when the dial is at one its gives out 60 square feet. 600/10= 60 so then you would mulitply 6 by 60 and get 360 which is your answer

Why are marine protected areas (MPAs) important? provide four reasons and briefly explain each one
EleoNora [17]
Marine Protected Areas are areas where human activities in certain marine environments have been limited to protect the environment and its inhabitants. This can be important because it seeks to protect the organisms and ecosystem of the marine environment, reduces pollution to the marine environment, preserves a marine environment for future use, and can also maintain the aesthetics of a marine environment. These are all factors which are related to conservation and preservation of an ecosystem or environmental area which are the main purposes of Marine Protected Areas.

Population growth is characterized with the descriptors J‐shaped curve, S‐shaped curve, and K. Determine if each of the followin
NemiM [27]

Please find question attached

Answer and Explanation:

Example of j shaped curve is population that is doubling in size and exponential growth. in j shaped curve, population increases rapidly and exponentially and then stops suddenly to start decreasing when resources are limited

logistic growth and population whose size is approaching the carrying capacity of the environment are examples of S shaped curve. here population increases slowly and then rapidly before it becomes stable as approaching zero growth

Population size that a particular environment can support indefinitely without long-term damage to the environment and carrying capacity

is indicated by K . Here population is maximum and has reached saturation and will no longer increase
