Answer:

The League of Nations was established in 1919.

The aim was to keep world peace and to ensure security.

At its largest there were 58 countries involved with the LoN.

The League of Nations failed as there had to be unanimity for decisions. Unanimity made it really hard for the League to do anything. The League suffered big time from the absence of major powers — Germany, Japan, Italy ultimately left — and the lack of U.S. participation. They also had no army so that meant that when countries were trying to annex one another the League couldn't protect the land.

How did steno believed that fossils ended up deep inside the rocks?
wariber [46]
Naturalists of Steno’s day were becoming convinced that matter was composed of different combinations of tiny “corpuscles”—what today we would call molecules. Steno argued that the corpuscles in the teeth were replaced bit by bit, by corpuscles of minerals. In this gradual process, the teeth didn’t lose their overall shape as they turned from tissue to stone.

1. What type of heat transfer causes the movement of tectonics plates.
creativ13 [48]
1) heat from radioactive decay in the core of the Earth heard the mantle.
2) Plates move averagely only a few cm a year, this has been happening ever since the planet formed and cooled to give a thick crust so this movement has added up over many years to move plates far from where they started.
3) because the mantle is heated and is able to flow slowly, convection currents are set up which cause the plates on the crust to move.
