Answer:

The electron transport chain is a cycle or procession of various complexes that able to transfer electrons from electron donors and electron accepts via oxidation-reduction reaction simultaneously and with the help of this electron transfer with transfer of protons through the membrane.

In eukaryotes, the electron transport chain is made up of various series of proteins present in the mitochondria's inner membranes whereas in prokaryotes it is taking place in the cell membrane.

Thus, the correct answer is - ETC occurs in the cell membrane whereas in the eukaryotes it takes place in the inner membrane of the mitochondria.

A population of squirrels living in a habitat covering 150 hectares is at 80% of the carrying capacity of 1,500. Assuming that t
Shkiper50 [21]
1) To calculate the population density you first need to know how many squirrels form that population.
To calculate the number of squirrels:
1500 squirrels is the capacity, so it's equivalent to 100%
So how much squirrels are present in 80% of the area:
1500----100 %
x----------80 %
x= 1200 squirrels

2)Population Density equals the number of squirrels divided by the land area
In the first part was calculated the number of squirrels and the exercise gives us the area in hectares so the only thing left to do is divide them.
(since this exercise doesn't specify that the area needs to be in a certain measurement we can use hectares)
Population Density = 1200/ 150
The population density of the squirrels is 8 per hectare

Which compound is released by photosynthesis and used in aerobic respiration? question 8 options: atp carbon dioxide oxygen wate
Alex

Answer;

-Oxygen

Explanation;

Both the glucose and oxygen produced in photosynthesis are used in aerobic respiration.

-Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is used in cellular respiration to make ATP. The glucose is then turned back into carbon dioxide, which is used in photosynthesis.

-While water is broken down to form oxygen during photosynthesis, in cellular respiration oxygen is combined with hydrogen to form water.

Cells need oxygen to make energy. Oxygen-rich blood is transported to tissues. When the oxygen is dropped off, it needs to move
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer: Capillaries

Explanation: There are two kinds of vessels which carry the blood throughout the body. These are veins and arteries. Now apart from these two, there is a third type which is called as capillaries, which are the connecting vessels between arteries and veins. These are relatively thinner and allow exchange of gases between tissues and the blood. Therefore, arteries and veins are incorrect options.

Heart is the pumping organ, and its function is to pump the blood to every cell of the body, so this can't be correct option.
