David moved from a house that is 89 miles from his workplace to a house that is 51 miles away from his workplace. What is the percent decrease in the distance from his home to his workplace?

This is completely wrong for logical and mathematical reasons, but for the sake of time I will go over the mathematical reason.

Because all percentages are out of 100, nothing can physically be over 100%, though it is used frequently in hyperbolic sentences and exaggerated statements.

Hope I helped and good luck!

Write sin^2(x)*cos^2(x) as a single power of cosine, show work
WINSTONCH [101]
This is what you're looking for if I'm not mistaken
sin²x + cos²x = 1
So:
sin²x = 1 - cos²x

∴ sin²x * cos²x = (1 - cos²x) * cos²x
= cos²x.(1 - cos²x)
(= cos²x - cos⁴x)
