2(7)= 14 and 21(40)=840 so 2/21*7/40= 14/840. Think to yourself, what number goes into both 14 and 840?
2, 7, and 14 does. If you divide by the largest number you know of then there is more of a chance that you're answer will be in simplest form. 14/14=1 and 840/14=60. Answer in simplest form will be 1/60. remember to check your final answer! Is there any other number that goes into both 1 and 60? Only the number 1, which will not change you answer, so you final answer is definitely 1/60.

When you're multiplying fractions, you have to multiply the numerators together (2 & 7) and then the denominators (21 & 40). 2x7=14 and 21x40= 840. Therefore, the fraction becomes 14/840. To simplify it, you can divide it by 2, and this gives you 7/420. Both 7 and 420 are both divisible by 7, this then gives you 1/60. Therefore, 2/21x 7/40 in the simplest form is 1/60 Hope this helps :)

Brut [27]

Answer: $20, 176

Step-by-step explanation: All you have to do is multiply how much she gets paid per hour by the number of hours that she works so it would just be 9.70*40 which equals 388. Then you have to multiply that answer by the number of weeks in a year so it would be 388*52 and your final answer would be $20, 176.
