The French used mirror reflections and delicate ornamentation to create the fanciful playfulness in Rococo art. Rococo art originated in Paris in the eighteenth-century, after the Baroque period. It’s most famous for its interior design and decoration influence. Rococo payed attention to details. Its main characteristics are asymmetry, bright color palettes with a lot of golden details, serpentine and curved design work, and delicate and very detailed patterns. Decorators during the Rococo period often used mirrors to generate a sensation of open space and also because of its ornamental function.
