Answer and Explanation

The cell respiration is a process in which the sugar molecules in the human body are broken into a form of energy which can be utilized by the cell. The cell respiration is needed to build up the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and then it releases waste products from the cell. For this biochemical process, the cell uses oxygen hence, this process is also called aerobic respiration.

Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

option B: one species decreases the probability that a second species will become established

Explanation:

Inhibition as a mechanism of succession occurs when some early species which could also include pioneer species make the site less suitable for the development of other species and do not allow them to become established and grow. When eventually these early species die, other species that were hindered will subsequently grow and become established gradually giving rise to a climax community.

Predict the type of progeny produced by Mendel's crosses between pure-breeding plants with discrete, antagonistic traits, such a
asambeis [7]

Answer:

The progeny produced is 100% heterozygous individuals.

Explanation:

Remember that in Mendel crosses, there are two alleles for each character, in this case for the color of the flowers.

When the problem refers to pure varieties, it refers to individuals with two equal alleles for the same gene.

If two pure varieties with antagonistic characters intersect, 100% of heterozygous individuals will be obtained in the offspring.

As for its phenotype, it will depend on which allele is dominant over the other.

Explain what takes place in each step of the diagram
Andrei [34K]

The given image is showing the interaction of the enzyme and its substrate.

In the first part of the image, the enzyme and substrate are not bind together. They are present in close proximity. The enzyme shown in the picture have a site for the attachment of the substrates.

In the next picture, the interaction of the enzyme and the substrate has occurred, which resulted in the formation of the enzyme substrate complex. Hence, the given picture shows the interaction of an enzyme with the substrates.
