The benefits of using insecticides to kill mosquitoes that might be carrying Plasmodium is the prevention against the malaria. <span>The malaria is a serious tropical disease, which in severe cases can be fatal. It is widespread in tropical and subtropical areas around the world. From a global point of view, it constitutes a huge public health problem, with 300 to 500 million new cases every year. In Europe, thousands of cases are diagnosed annually, both among visitors from endemic areas (where the disease exists), and among immigrants from these areas. Some of these cases end with the death of the patient.</span>
