Given, Customers pay $4 to enter the pumpkin patch.

And also given, customers pay $3 per pound for the pumpkins.

Given, $y be the total cost and there are x pounds of pumpkins.

The cost for pumpkin per pound = $3.

Therefore, the cost for x pound pumpkins = $(3x)

As the total cost includes the payment for entering the patch also,

So the total cost y = 3x + 4

We have got the required equation.

The equation to model the total cost is y = 3x+4.

Which expression has the greatest value?
A. 149.2
B. 149 - 16
C. 25 +16
D. 125.3
umka21 [38]
The answer would be A. If I subtracted 149 from 16, I would end up with 133, so it would not be B. If I added 25 to 16, that would equal 41, so that’s not the answer. Lastly, I wouldn’t choose D because 149.2 is greater than 125.3
Remember, any number before a decimal is considered a whole number.

In ΔPQR, r = 9 inches, p = 6.6 inches and ∠Q=6°. Find the area of ΔPQR, to the nearest 10th of a square inch
Andreyy89

Answer:

2.8 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the triangle PQR = 1/2 rp sin <Q

Given

r = 9in

p = 6.6in

<Q =6°

Substitute into the formula;

Area of the triangle PQR = 1/2 * 9 * 6 sin6°

Area of the triangle PQR = 9 * 3 sin6°

Area of the triangle PQR = 27 sin6°

Area of the triangle PQR = 27(0.1045)

Area of the triangle PQR = 2.82

Hence the area to the nearest 10th of a square inch is 2.8 square inches
