How do you solve his
telo118 [61]
Hello!

We know that the angles in a rectangle are 90°

Since they are 90° then the two separate angles add to 90

4x - 12 + x + 2 = 90

Combine like terms

5x - 10 = 90

Add 10 to both sides

5x = 100

Divide both sides by 5

x = 20

Now we put x into the two angles

x + 2 = ?

(20) + 2 = 22

4x - 12 = ?

4(20) - 12 = ?

80 - 12 = 68

The answers are
x = 20
4x - 12 = 68
x + 2 = 22

Hope this helps!

Pls help this rly hard for me and pls don’t judge
Tema [17]
Sure! (And it’s okay if it’s hard, we won’t judge you for asking for help!)

A.) So Kendra has 2 yards and 3 inches of ribbon, and 1 yard equals 3 feet. So Kendra has 6 feet and 3 inches of ribbon.

Next we subtract 6 feet and 3 inches by 5 feet 9 inches. The difference is 6 inches (75/12-69/12=6/12 or 6 inches)

B.) So after taking what she needs, Kendra will have 6 inches of ribbon left.

Good luck! And don’t worry about asking if you need help!
