x-2y=11
add them euations

-7x+2y=-13
<u>1x-2y=11 +</u>
-6x+0y=-2

-6x=-2
divide both sides by -6
x=1/3

sub back
x-2y=11
1/3-2y=11
minus 1/3 both sides
-2y=10 and 2/3
divide both sides by -2 (or times both sides by -1/2)
y=-5 and 1/3



x=1/3
y=-5 and 1/3
(1/3,-16/3)
