What is the system by which each branch of the federal government can restrain
jekas [21]

Answer:

Checks and Balances  is the correct answer.

Explanation:

One branch of the government can restrain the power of other branches by the system of checks and balances. This system is an important part of constitution, with this each branch of the government can limit the power of other branches. It prevents any one branch from becoming too powerful, and to balance the power between them.

Example: The US congress is the legislative branch and have the sole power of declaring war with other nations, but the President of US is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. This creates a tension between both as congress can declare wars but cannot give order. The president can give orders but cannot declare war. And if any of one of these two branches tries to overstep its powers and limits, the other branch can correct it or put limits on it.

Why were colonists so upset about the Proclamation of 1763?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

D. Colonists wanted to move west into lands that they rightfully gained in winning the French and Indian War, but the Proclamation of 1763 would not allow them to move west of the Appalachian Mountains.

Explanation:

The Colonists have to spend large amount of reserouces for their involvement in the French and Indian war. They lost a lot of manpower along with money that they used to purchase weapon, supplies, and medication.

They believed that the resources that exist in west of the Appalachian Mountains will help them recuperate the loss.

But in 1763 , King George II enacted the Proclamation of 1763. This proclamation foraged the settlers to move from the west of the mountains since it was delineated as an Indian reserve. This cause the colonists to develop deep resentment ofr the British empire.
