Anything that power to 1/3, then it should be like below
\sqrt[3]{x-2} = 5
you have to get rid the power of 1/3
((x-2)^{ \frac{1}{3} })^{3} = (5)^{3}
x - 2 = 125

x = 127

What is the value of x?<br>what is the value of y?<br>type in an integer or decimal
Vilka [71]

Answer:

  • x = 5.6
  • y = 65

Step-by-step explanation:

There are a couple of relations that are applicable to these questions.

  • the product of segment lengths of crossed chords is the same for both chords
  • the angle formed at crossed chords is the average of the intercepted arc measures

__

The segment lengths relation tells us ...

  10x = 8×7 . . . . . . products of segment lengths are equal

  x = 56/10 = 5.6 . . . . divide by 10

__

The value of y° is the average of the intercepted arcs:

  y° = (85° +45°)/2 = 65°

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

This diagram does not have enough information to allow computation of z. We would need to know the intercepted arc, or the length of the secant that meets tangent z.

What is the initial value for the function f(x)=3(5/4)x
In-s [12.5K]
For
f(x)=3\left(\dfrac{5}{4}\right)^{x}
you seem to want to know the value of f(0). Put 0 where x is, then evaluate.
f(0)=3\left(\dfrac{5}{4}\right)^{0}=3\cdot 1=3

The initial value of the function is 3.

_____
You will observe that when x=0, the exponential term evaluates to 1. This is true regardless of its base. Thus f(0) is always the coefficient of the exponential term—in this case, 3.
