When one group or individual controls all three powers abuse of power arises, bringing a decline in the rights and liberties of the citizens. Only true Democracy, through the appropriate implementation of the separation of powers represents a guarantee of said liberties for the citizens. In this way, no power or institution becomes more important than the others.
