30 inches.
When trying to find the perimeter of a rectangle, add the lengths of all of the sides. So, 5 + 5 + 10 + 10 = 30.

The formula for perimeter is P = 2length + 2width (P = 2L + 2W)

In this case:

Length = 5 in

Width = 10 in

Plug what you know into the perimeter formula:

P = 2(5) + 2(10)

OR

P = 2 × 5 + 2 × 10

To solve this you must use the rules of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

First we have multiplication. Remember that when solving you must go from left to right

P = 2 × 5 + 2 × 10

2 × 5 = 10

P = 10 + 2 × 10

2 × 10 = 20

P = 10 + 20

Now we have addition:

P = 10 + 20

P = 30

The perimeter of this book is 30 inches

Hope this helped!

What is the slope of the line represented by the equation y=- 1/2x + 1/4
Andreyy89

Answer:

-1/2x

Step-by-step explanation:

-1/2x represents the slope because it shows that the line is going down 1/2 every x. 1/4 would be where the line started or the y-intercept.

Hey puddin could ya help me !?- What is the length of segment AB?
ycow [4]

Answer:

AB = 4\sqrt{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate AB using the distance formula

d = √ (x₂ - x₁ )² + (y₂ - y₁ )²

with (x₁, y₁ ) = A(6, 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = B(0, 10)

AB = \sqrt{(0-6)^2+(10-2)^2}

     = \sqrt{4^2+8^2}

    = \sqrt{16+64}

    = \sqrt{80} = 4\sqrt{5} ← exact length

Please help me! this got deleted at first for some reason
Dmitrij [34]

Answer: 55 Square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

You should find the area of the square and rectangle separately

To find the area you multiply length times width, so the area of the square is 4×4 which equals 16

Then you do the same to the rectangle, 13×3=39

To find the area of the whole figure you add the area of the two shapes together 16+39 which should give you 55
