In the story "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce the story has different forms to make the audience predict since the first part of the story has a big exposition to dramatic material and then when the second part starts to reduce this kind of material and presents a lot of flashbacks the reader starts to imagine what will happen with Farquhar. The flashbacks and dramatic situations are elements that foreshadow future events.
